National Education Day

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi and ISTE's Delhi Section Student's Convention celebrated  National Education Day on 12^th Oct 2017 in order to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first education minister and former President, Shri. Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. Education Day is a great event for undergraduates and post graduate students where they showcase their technical dexterity along with aggrandizing communication skills.

The event was a sumptuous success by-standing participation from different colleges like IITM, YMCA, DIAS, JIMS, MSIT,  VIPS, DTU, DU, LBS, USIT, BVIMR, BVCOE, Jamia Milia Islamia, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Instititue, Birla Institute of Technology, Shivaji College, PGDAV, Dronacharaya College of Engg, Devilal College Sirsa, Chitkara University and many others. Dowering to the awe-inspiring success of the event were some newfangled events that were included this year. The students enthusiastically participated in I.T. Quiz, Programming Competition, Spinning Web- The Website Designing competition,  Antakshri, Chess Competition, Poster Making Event, LAN Games, Brainstroming Maze, Debate Competition, Communicating Coders- The Coding Decoding quest, Paint-O-Mania- The T-Shirt Painting, Photo Fun, Pictionary, Face Painting competition, Human Snakes & Ladders and other technical and non-technical events.

Each event was impelled at a separate time for their preliminary rounds, upon gaping which participants proceeded to the final level. The Debate competition was conducted on the much thoughtful altercation- “Can Artificial Intelligence over take Humanity?”, in which first position was bagged by Ms. Nisha Bhaskar and Ms. Sushmita Nayak from Motilal Nehru Institute. The participants were appreciated for their incredible efforts and the winners were awarded with certificate and cash rewards. By the meanwhile other events too had reached their culmination stage and final results were affirmed.

The winners of Brainstorming were Mr. Shivam Jamloki and Mr. Saurabh Sharma. Ms. Akansha Gupta and Ms. Nithika Yadav from BVCOE won the IT Quiz. The winners of Antakshri were Ms. Harshita and Ms. Mansi Jain. Poster making was won by Mr. Rohit Kumar, from BVCOE. RAT (Race Against Time) was won by Ms. Akriti Srivastava from IITM. The winners of Web Development event were Mr. Hemant Garg and Mr. Mayank Raheja from MSIT. In Photofun event, Ms. Preeti juneja and Ms. Chestha Arora from BVICAM won the first position. Winners of each event were decreed with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.

The event was sumptuous success by the persistent efforts of the 2^nd as well as 1^st year’s students under the guidance of the final year batch and a team of enlivening teachers, guiding them at each step. BVICAM played a perfect host to organise Education day 2017 flawlessly and hence it proved to be an exhilarating experience for all those who attended the various events.
