Education Day 2019

The Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi in collaboration with IEEE Delhi Section and Computer Society of India (CSI) celebrated National Education Day on 19th Oct 2019 in order to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first education minister and former President, Shri. Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.

The event was a sumptuous success by-standing participation from different colleges like VIPS, RCIT, GNIM, JNU, MSIT, SIMS, TIPS, Janakidevi Memorial, BVIMR, BVCOE, Gurugram University and many others. The students enthusiastically participated in I.T. Quiz, Programming Competition, Website Designing competition,  Brainstroming Maze, Debate Competition, Communicating Coders, Pictionary, Vyakt- Slam Poetry and other technical and non-technical events.

Each event was impelled at a separate time for their preliminary rounds, upon gaping which participants proceeded to the final level. The Debate competition was conducted on the much thoughtful altercation- “Technology makes us alone”, in which first position was bagged by Ms. Damini Malhotra and Ms. Geetanjali Mehta from VIPS. Second position was secured by Ms. Shweta and Mr. Ayush from IINTM. The participants were appreciated for their incredible efforts and the winners were awarded with certificate and cash rewards.

The winners of Brainstorming were Mr. Saatwik Bisaria and Mr. Vishal Parashar from BVCOE. Mr. Shubham Malhotra from GNIM and Ms. Vaishali from Sirifort College secured first position in IT Quiz. The winners of Slam Poetry were Ms. Shruti vij from Jankidevi Memorial College and Mr. Rahul Sharma from VIPS. In Programming competition, first position was secured by Mr. Himanshu Sen from Gurugram University whereas second position was secured by Ms. Lakshmi Maurya and Mr. Jatin Dahiya from Maharaja Surajmal Institute.  Winners of Pictionary were Mr. Aakash, Mr. Kunal and Mr. Simran, representing a team from BVIMR. Web Designing competition was won by  Mr. Shubham Malhotra from GNIM and Ms. Vaishali from Sirifort College. Winners of each event were decreed with cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.

The event was opulent success by the ardent and persistent efforts of the 2nd as well as 1st year’s enthrallingly full of energy students under the potent guidance of the final year batch and a team of enlivening teachers, guiding them at each step and toiling it out with them for the gala success of the event. BVICAM played a perfect host to organise Education Day 2019 flawlessly and hence it proved to be an exhilarating experience for all those who attended the various events
