Emerging Research Trends in Computer Science and IT

One Wee006B Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organized on "Emerging Trends in Computer Science & IT", by Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi in association with IEEE Computer Society (Delhi Section) & IIPC (AICTE) of BVICAM, IEEE Computer Society (Delhi Section), CSI Delhi Chapter, ISTE Delhi Section, from 24th July to 29th July, 2017.  The objective of this FDP was to foster the level of technical teaching and research aptitude of the young faculty members, either doing research or planning to undertake research work under the domain of Computer Science and IT, including M. Tech. Scholars.

One week FDP programme was conducted in 10 interesting and knowledge imparting sessions touching emerging research trends in Computer Science and Information Technology. FDP covered various domains with different technical sessions on Machine Learning and Data Analytics using R tool by Dr. P. S. Rana, Thapar university, Patiala, Classification and Clustering Techniques using MATLAB by Prof. R. K. Agarwal, SCSS, JNU, Delhi. Sessions on Analytics were praised by the attendees. It also included Video Analytics using MATLAB by Dr. Ayesha Chaudhry, SCSS, JNU, Delhi and Web Mining and Text Analytics by Dr. Aditi sharan, SCSS, JNU, Delhi. A session on research challenges in MANET and FANET by Dr. Umang Singh, ITS, Ghaziabad was dedicated to the attendees doing research in the field of networks. Few other sessions were dedicated towards art of writing research papers, technical proposals and Ph.d synopsis and drafting using LaTex. The last session of the FDP was on Mendeley, A Reference Management Tool by Dr. Ritika Wason, BVICAM, New Delhi.

The programme was well attended by over 40 participants from premier Institutes in northern India. Last day of the FDP witnessed Certificate Distribution Ceremony. Dr. Vishal Jain, Asstt. Professor, BVICAM, New Delhi, co-ordinated the entire FDP program with full zeal and enthusiasm. He expressed his vote of thanks to all the attendees promising to meet again with a bunch of new topics.
